WHEN TO USE SFC-10

Use where a single uninterrupted flight is sufficient for the floor height change and the geometry allows a straight run with no direction change. If your site needs a landing or a change of direction, see CSF-30 (straight platform), CSF-40 (L-shape), or CSF-50 (U-shape).

FREE-STANDING CONFIGURATION

CSF-10 hooks onto the mezzanine structure at the top. If the flight can’t connect directly to the structure, it pairs with CSF-15 (top platform) or CSF-25 (top hurdle) to create a semi free-standing staircase that supports itself at the top.

TREAD SELECTION

Tread width and type are selected independently based on your access requirements and building class. Checker plate suits most industrial applications. Mesh treads suit environments needing drainage or high-visibility nosing. FRP treads suit corrosive or non-conductive environments. If you’re unsure, contact Compacked before ordering.

HANDRAIL SELECTION

All handrail systems for PFC flights are stringer-mounted — stanchions fix to the stringers rather than the treads. Select HSR-80 for building class 1 and 2, HSR-85 for class 7 and 8, or HSR-60 where AS1428 full rod infill is required across building class 1 to 10.

CSF-10 is pre-engineered to comply with applicable NCC stair access requirements. Compliance documentation is supplied with every order and is ready for building inspection. No additional paperwork is required from your end.

GENERAL COMPLIANCE

  • Pre-engineered to be compliant with applicable NCC stair access requirements
  • Compliance documentation supplied with every order, ready for building inspection
  • No on-site fabrication – components arrive pre-punched and labelled, reducing site risk
  • Compatible handrail systems available to meet AS1657 (industrial) or AS1428 (disability access) depending on building class
